How can we design the onboarding for a business expenses app that makes connecting the card and tracking expenses clear from the first user interaction with Bica?
Solution
The onboarding was the key to completing the setup. Users needed more context through the tone-of-voice, use case image and description. Matching the UI and visual language with the rest of the app before the next stage.
The onboarding flow integrates connecting with the Bica card. It becomes a natural first step, knowing the use case. Explaining how the Bica card links to their business expenses, removing friction that comes with handing over financial details.
The result improves the full user experience because the onboarding now removes complicated steps, guiding users clearly through the bank connection and verification process. This builds the trust needed, resulting in more users completing onboarding and spending with confidence.
