Talpa: Designed UX for Talpa publishing

I created components to increase viewership on Talpa’s radio and news apps. I designed components like the Trending and New to show the top 10 news items in a way that can be used across the publishing platform, creating a faster and familiar way to see news.

Project

Challenge

Talpa's radio and news products wanted to increase product interacton, I had the opportunity to help the team during my internship. The core goal was: How can we create products and components that meaningfully improve the user experience across Talpa's publishing apps, and increase retention?

Project Project

Solution

I designed components to increase retention and engagement for returning visitors. The Trending and New component gives users more ways to discover what is popular and relevant right now. The Membership component surfaces on important items.

The key design decision was building reusable components in Talpa's design system, so they could be deployed consistently across all radio and news products. This means users encounter the same familiar interactions, and makes it significantly faster for development teams to build and hand off.

By creating interactive components rather than a one time design, the solution improves the user experience, and increases retention, while helping teams ship consistent experiences across the publishing platform.
