Glider: Simplifying your journey and connecting your travel

I designed Glider for a faster travel user experience. Managing a trip across multiple travel apps can be hard and takes time. I combined the journey together in a clear structure. Syncing with what you need in your travel. I focused on what the user wants from a user journey map: an easy, fast, and connected digital experience in the entire journey in one travel app.

Challenge

How can we design a travel app that improves the user journey by combining data into one overview, so that travelers can go on their journey seamlessly?

Solution

Travelers frequently juggle multiple apps to manage a single trip. Research tells that this was their biggest frustration. Flight information lives in one place, transport in another, accommodation somewhere else. This fragmentation made it difficult to stay informed, especially when plans are changed on the go.

The solution focuses on converging. By allowing users to link their travel data from external apps into a single platform. Glider creates one continuous overview of a trip. Categories like transport, stay, and activities are connected, so the user always has context for what comes next.

Testing indicated that users want to use Glider beyond the booking phase, they love the structure it gives them during their trip. The combination of live updates and linked trip data are an important must have.

Glider reduces the time users spend managing a trip and makes the experience seamless by keeping everything into one overview. Users arrive at each stage of their journey already informed, without having to search for it. This changed the experience from managing travel to simply enjoying it.
